Mr. Francis Odesanya, the Rivers state commissioner of Police is in trouble for helping the Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, prevent the arrest of a judge in the state by DSS operatives.
When Governor Wike got to the house of the judge and was said to have been joined by the commissioner who with his men prevented the security agencies from carrying out the order.
An official who is familiar with the matter said: “The Rivers Commissioner of Police will be dealt with appropriately. It has been established that the DSS officials who were at the judge’s residence had with them duly signed search and arrest warrants,”
“By stopping the security agents from doing their work, what he did was to obstruct justice. He stopped those people from carrying out a legitimate order.
“He will be sanctioned accordingly.”
