Egwim, was rushed to ParkLane Hospital in one of the stadium ambulances.
The governor who was close to tears immediately after the match, came down from the VIP stand and sympathized with the players and assured them that he would be flown abroad for treatment. True to his words,Ugwuanyi has ordered the Commissioner for Sports, Charles Ndukwe, to make travel arrangements to enable Egwim get best medical attention abroad in order not to lose any of the players for continental games just around the corner.
